Europe’s most walkable city is ‘so beautiful and interesting’ | Travel News | Travel

Rental car prices have soared in recent years. Britons looking to avoid the cost might want to consider a walkable destination for their next holiday.

Luckily, the expert team at Preply have looked at Europe’s most walkable cities to find the top spots where Britons won’t need to rent a car.

The team looked for cities with the shortest walking distance between their top tourist attractions. While a gorgeous city topped the rankings in the UK, a Spanish hotspot was named Europe’s most pedestrian friendly.

Seville, in southern Spain, was rated the continent’s most walkable city. It’ll take holidaymakers just 20 minutes to walk between the Andalusian city’s top attractions.

The birthplace of tapas, Seville has an incredible range of attractions and it’s home to some of the country’s most exciting fiestas.

Plaza de Espana, the city’s main square, is Seville’s top rated attraction on Tripadvisor. It was built in 1928 and tourists can take a boat out on its moat.

A tourist ‘Ectoplasm Fantasia’ wrote on Tripadvisor: “Stunningly beautiful! My favourite part of Seville.”

‘Wortleybay’ said: “Wow, wow, wow! Stunning architecture and scrupulously well kept. Not to be missed.”

‘Jeff R’ said: “This was an incredible place for us to visit. This is a must-see location for anyone visiting Seville.”
