Europe’s cheapest destinations to fly to in March | Travel News | Travel

As the weather finally starts to cheer up, many Britons are looking forward to getting away from the UK on a mini-break.

But where are the cheapest destinations?

In an exclusive experiment for Express.co.uk, I searched for the cheapest places to fly to from the UK in March using Skyscanner.

Luckily for British tourists, there’s some fantastic options for affordable getaways in March. Keep in mind that these prices are flight only so tourists might have to pay more for baggage or seat selection.

From one of Europe’s most exciting city breaks to one of the continent’s best foodie destinations, there’s plenty to get you feeling inspired.

Lyon, France

I found return flights to Lyon in March for £23 from London, £35 from Liverpool, £37 from Manchester and under £50 from Bristol and Birmingham.

The French city is one of the country’s gourmet hotspots, known for its traditional bouchon restaurants.

Situated on the banks of the river, Lyon’s Old Town is pretty while the city also has a huge park complete with turtles. Find out more in Express.co.uk’s guide.

Bratislava, Slovakia

I found return flights to Bratislava for £24 from London, £35 from Leeds and £37 from Manchester.

The Slovakian capital is a fantastic choice for Britons looking for an affordable getaway this spring. The city is also just a short hop from Vienna on the train.

Bratislava’s Old Town is pedestrian only with plenty of cute cafes to while away the hours. Find out more about Bratislava in Express.co.uk’s guide.

All prices found on Skyscanner and correct at the time of writing.
