BigHand announces today (3 October) that it has formalised a strategic partnership with DocStyle, enabling BigHand to provide customers with a fully-fledged document productivity suite including creation, styling, comparison, cleanup, and repair.
The partnership, which comes in response to demand from customers, will allow BigHand to integrate DocStyle’s features into its suite of document productivity tools.
BigHand’s document productivity business had a record year last year, growing by 44%, but to date has not had comparison capability. Speaking to Legal IT Insider, BigHand’s president for the global legal market, Eric Wangler, said: “Our documents business has seen a huge surge in growth and continues to grow aggressively. This new partnership really broadens out our document portfolio, which will make things easier for our clients and make sure there is seamless interaction with DocStyle.” BigHand will be providing full implementation and support services directly.
Chris Cangero, CEO of DocStyle, added “We’ve worked alongside BigHand for several years and have cultivated a strong relationship. We’ve been collaborating behind the scenes, testing the market, and are already seeing clients taking advantage of this partnership. The legal community is already benefiting from our tools in conjunction with BigHand’s powerful platform. Formalizing this partnership was a natural next step.”

This partnership comes as BigHand begins formalising its partnerships with other vendors in order to strengthen its legal ecosystem, in a move that we’re told is driven by its customer base. On 26 September it announced a partnership with Infodash to enable law firms to surface business intelligence data through their intranet.
