An American who has travelled to the UK for three years in a row loves a particular seaside town as he shared the four things of the country that stand out to him.
YouTube star JPS, who publishes under the name ItsJps on the video platform, spoke about his experiences in the UK over the past few years.
Reflecting on his trips to the UK, the YouTuber was first full of praise for the UKās food scene especially Sunday roasts and ciders which he said were much better compared to similar cider scenes in the USA.
He then reserved massive praise for the seaside town of Scarborough on the UKās north east coast describing how much he loved swimming in the sea and using the townās beach.
The YouTuber said: āThe seaside towns in Britain are just, thereās something really special about them. You canāt quite compare them to anything. Seaside towns in England, itās special bro. I honestly thought the water was going to be so much colder than what it was, it was definitely swimmable.
āThe beach was really nice in Scarborough I have to say. I had this really bad perception of British beaches, I thought they were all pebbly and rocky and itās just not the case. Scarborough was beautiful sand and the water was as clear as it could be. I mean I really did not have too many complaints when it came to that visit.ā
As well as thinking about the UKās bevvy of seaside towns, the presenter was also full of praise for the countryās natural beauty with special time reserved for the Peak District and Scotland.
The presenter, who said he felt sorry for touristsĀ who stuck toĀ LondonĀ said: I visited the Peak District for the first time this year and oh my I was blown away. The landscapes, the hillsā¦theyāre enormous and beautiful.
āThe Peak District really blew me away and when you throw that on top of all the other amazing natural beauty thatās throughout England. Scotland you can go up there and literally think youāre in the Lord of the Rings movie, itās that amazing.
āThere is just so much natural beauty, thereās so much to explore and I really feel bad for people who visit England for example and they only stay in London.ā
Music festivals also stood out to the YouTuber. He explained: āI actually went to two different music festivals. The festivals are great. I really enjoyed them they were good vibes, great weather for both of them.
“Wow, you guys have a lot of festivals, there are a lot of different options. I really wanted to go to the Isle of Wight festival.ā
And finally, the presenter touched on the British sense of humour which he said was ānecessaryā because of how ācloudyā the UK tends to be. He reflected: āMan you guys have a wicked sense of humour and itās necessary to be in such a cloudy and downcast environment for so much of the year and Iām not saying itās cloudy every day.
āThe humour is just so good and I thought that I was able to relate to everyone so well on this trip. When someoneās poking fun of you they like you, itās really that simple.ā
