Stay in tiny house restored by BBC series in picturesque village | UK | Travel

There are plenty of unique staycation locations on Airbnb, with one small home in Warwick giving guests a truly medieval-style experience.

The small Castle Folly near Warwick can host two people, making it a perfect choice for a romantic getaway with a twist.

Built two hundred years ago as a medieval-style folly, the stunning castle home was restored with help from the BBC’s ‘My Unique B&B’ to give visitors a truly unique experience in a beautiful rural setting.

Medieval-themed features include panelled walls, skylight above the bed, and a knight statue on watch at the front door.

And despite the medieval theme, the home still has a number of modern features too, including under-floor heating, and a hottub.

The house’s description on Airbnb reads: “The Folly itself is in one corner of a 200-year-old walled garden and has a great history.

“It used to be the boiler house, heating water that ran along pipes in the walls, enabling pineapples to grow against them in lean-to greenhouses.

“The property is on the edge of our picturesque sleepy village so any noise will be from wildlife or sheep in the field nearby.”

And the uniqueness of this property has certainly proved popular with guests, one said: “Is this the best AirBnb we’ve ever stayed in…? Quite probably. Everything was just perfect with Julie’s place.

“From the little touches dotted around the property to the pristine hot tub and freshly baked bread – everything was perfect! And now, we can say we stayed in a castle!”

A second added: “We had the best stay here. It was a special occasion for us. The location was lush, the hosts were fabulous and we will definitely be back. Thanks Julie and Toby for everything.”

And a third said: “Had a lovely stay at Castle Folly, it was beautiful and just like the pictures [I’d] seen. My favourite part was the hot tub when it got dark and all of the fairy lights were on. Very cosy and comfortable! Lovely hosts!”
