Syncly joins forces with Thomson Reuters in partnership to watch

Data integration platform Syncly has entered a partnership with Thomson Reuters, paving the way for Syncly to help firms integrate HighQ with their document management system and the Microsoft 365 stack. Going forward, TR will act as a Syncly reseller.

Thomson Reuters acquired HighQ in 2019 and this is the start of an interesting and perhaps inevitable partnership. Syncly is made up of a number former senior HighQ executives. It was co-founded by CEO Stewart Rasmussen, previously head of client services for APAC at HighQ. Last year, as we first revealed in August, Syncly closed a seed funding round led by Stuart Barr, who was the former chief product & strategy officer at HighQ. Following that funding round, Syncly hired Rishit Patel as chief technology officer. Patel was previously vice president of software development for HighQ at Thomson Reuters.

Elena Folkes, director of market development at Thomson Reuters, said of Syncly: “They have deep expertise and understanding of the legal technology industry, which is apparent through their integration platform and global client base.  We are confident that the addition of Syncly to our partner ecosystem will continue to help our customers succeed in this dynamic and fast paced- market.”

Syncly’s platform allows customers to rapidly deploy integration solutions with a range of legal industry platforms from a growing library of connectors, that all work interchangeably with one another. These connectors can be used to create one and two-way synchronisations, bulk upload large volumes of data, and automate the process of archiving data when it is no longer needed to be shared.

The real time, two-way synchronisation between legal platforms such as iManage, NetDocuments, HighQ and Microsoft Teams ensures that data is in the right place and complies with information governance requirements. It also helps law firms to ensure that the system of record is complete, and provides an audit trail of where documents have been moved from and to.

“Partnering with Thomson Reuters, one of the world’s largest providers of legal technology services, provides us with a fantastic opportunity to create tailor made integration solutions to our mutual customers around the world,” said Rasmussen. “We’re excited to help customers bring their collaboration and document management systems together to simultaneously improve the client experience and data governance.”

If you would like more information about the integration, speak to your Thomson Reuters Account Manager or email Syncly at sales@syncly.io or visit www.syncly.io.
