Woman tries Dubai’s ‘viral chocolate’ but price leaves her speechless | Asia | Travel

Brits are dashing to Dubai not just for the sun-soaked relaxation, but also to indulge in a viral sweet sensation.

The sandy stretches, high-rise temperatures and lavish resorts present an appealing getaway for many UK holidaymakers. Adding to the list of attractions in, however, is a chocolate bar taking social media by storm.

This treat features decadent milk chocolate packed with pistachio creme, pistachio paste and golden toasted kunafa. Becoming an internet phenomenon, the confectionery item sells out daily.

Cheyanne Kerr managed to secure some for a candid taste test on TikTok. Despite acknowledging its delicious flavour, she revealed the Dubai chocolate comes at a steep cost.

In her video, Cheyanne said: “Apparently you can’t get it anywhere because it sells out within like half-an-hour. There’s this other place that does like a similar one, so we’re going to go there to try just a little basic version of it. It’s not the real thing but we’re still going to go and try it.”

After obtaining the sought-after treat, she remarked: “We got it, and it were £40 for two, so it best be worth it.”

Luckily, she didn’t seem to regret splurging the cash as she savoured the chocolate. Her expression is priceless in the video, as her eyes sparkle and she’s left totally speechless following the indulgent experience.

The video has garnered more than 38,000 likes since it was shared, and everyone is talking about the price. One viewer remarked that Cheyanne had “more money than sense” upon seeing the cost.

Another said: “We paid £51. Didn’t have a price on them.” And a third said: “£40 for two. Scandalous.”

Echoing the sentiment, another person commented: “For £20 it better be good. Even if it’s not good, you know you have to say it’s good to feel good.” However, savvy shoppers pointed out that you can buy some at cheaper rates online if you do your research.

An additional comment read: “It gets sold out in 60 seconds once the online store opens. Managed to get just one bar on a weekday. No luck on weekends.”
